The Final Five For Hordes Of Belial - 7 & Hell
The line-up for Hordes Of Belial - 7 & Hell is now complete, and what a mountain of underground glory it truly is!
First up, from Inverness, we have Seed Of Sorrow, this year's winners of the most northern heats of Bloodstock Open Air's Metal To The Masses competition. When Terrorizer magazine says a band's focus is 'very much on smashing the s*** out of stuff', you know they're going to bring the kind of heaviness that rips it's way though our stages every year.
Glasgow's Centrilia will be rejoining us for their second time at Hordes Of Belial, having played along side Seed Of Sorrow in 2014. All About The Rock described their latest release - the Memento Mori EP - as 'five tracks of punishing and well executed metal'.
For those of you who might need a break from what is, in all honesty, a pretty intense collection of bands, we've delved into the realms of prog. Solar Sons and The Paradigm Complex both display some fantastic musicianship, and, while still heavy, offer up something for the meandering mind, rather than centering in on giving your neck the most brutal self-inflicted punishment possible.
That said, it wouldn't be Hordes if we didn't take you right back to the meatier end of the spectrum. Please welcome Satiracy! Working from a standpoint influenced by Swedeath and some more melodic output, this band first came to us supporting Preston's finest, All Consumed for the first of the Slaughterpit warm-up shows.
